Starting with basic information on the piano keyboard and music notation, the preparatory book works up through the introduction of scales and triads. By the beginning of this book the student should be able to read music fluently. The hymn arrangements are more advanced and the student plays over the entire span of the keyboard. The arrangements are very practical and may be used for solos, preludes, offertories, and more. Subjects include chromatic scale, minor keys and syncopation. Hymn arrangements include Safely Through Another Week, Man of Sorrows, When I See the Blood, Showers of Blessing, Blessed Assurance, and Jesus Shall Reign.

If all of the other books in this piano course have been mastered, the student should be very versatile at the keyboard. THE JUNIOR HYMNBOOK
38 pages on the grade one and a half to grade two level. 30 hymns arranged in a style to be used as an accompaniment book for vocal singing. Excellent for those who are not ready for the regular hymn book but are sometimes called upon to play for a church service. The hymns are arranged in the simpler keys and the chords are based on triads with which the elementary student should be familiar. PIANO/ORGAN DUET BOOK
51 pages containing ten arrangements for easy organ and advanced piano. Eight of the arrangements contain a medley of two hymns.
